Where does the name Switcher come from?

Der Name "Switcher" setzt sich aus zwei englischen Wörtern zusammen : "Sweatshirt" und "to switch" (wechseln). Dieser Name signalisierte eine Veränderung der T-Shirt-und Sweatshirt-Konsumgewohheiten, denn 1981 trugen alle T-Shirts und Sweatshirts auf dem Markt grosse Schriftzüge, wohingegen die Switcher Artikel ohne Schriftzüge, aber in zahlreichen Farben angeboten wurden.
When Switcher was founded, the founder vacillated between a whale, a rhinoceros and an elephant. All three are large mammals that feed exclusively on plants. They do not eat other animals and are therefore not dangerous. In the end, they decided on the whale with its round and harmonious shape.
In Switzerland, the yellow whale now has a supported awareness of over 90%.
